Tabouli salad

How to Making Recipes Tabouli salad using 8 ingredients and 3 steps

Tabouli salad - Tabouli is likely the topmost famed Mediterranean/Middle Eastern salad there is. Because it is now sold in most large supermarkets around the world, I feel compelled to dispel one thing: the "star of the show," so to speak, in a tabouli recipe is not the bulgur. Feel free to play around with the proportions, especially the various vegetables. Tabouli Salad or Tabbouleh is a traditional Mediterranean (Middle Eastern) side dish. Mainly, bulgur wheat (cracked wheat), a few cups of finely chopped veggies and herbs like mint and parsley are added to it.

Tabouli salad

My recipe is made with quinoa rather than the traditional bulgur wheat, so it's gluten-free.

This salad is light and flavorful and chock full of veggies that you can pull from your garden–tomatoes, cucumbers, and green onions.

Tabouli salad - Tabbouleh salad (tabouli salad) is probably the most popular Mediterranean salad, and is becoming mainstream in American grocery stores all over the country and the world, which is super cool! One thing that I've noticed though is that in the states, tabbouleh tends to have more bulgur than the traditional recipe calls for. Tabbouleh (also spelled tabouli) is a super fresh herb and bulgur salad, with parsley being the number one ingredient. It's dotted with diced cucumber and tomato, and dressed simply with olive oil and lemon juice. We think of tabbouleh as a bulgur salad with lots of parsley and mint. But real Lebanese tabbouleh is a lemony herb salad with a little bit of fine bulgur, an edible garden that you can scoop up with romaine lettuce heart leaves or simply eat with a fork. Finely chop the parsley, spring onions and tomatoes and place them into your separate large salad bowl. Thank you and good luck
