- Prepare 3 Granny Smith apples (diced).
- Prepare 40 g salted butter.
- It's 3 tbsp maple syrup.
- You need 1 tbsp sugar.
- It's 1 tsp cinnamon.
- You need 100 g sultanas.
- It's 1 tsp salt.
- You need 1 egg lightly beaten for brush.
- You need 1 Tbsp corn flour.
Traditional American Apple Pie instructions
- For buttery pie crust: Put cold butter and powdered sugar in a food processor, mix 1 minutes. Add flour, egg and cold water. mix it until it form a ball. rest for 30 minutes in a fridge.
- For apple filling: put all ingredients together in the pot. cook it for 15 minutes. let it cool..
- Assemble the pie and brush it with egg wash and sprinkle raw sugar on top of the pie.
- Bake in the oven 180 C for 45 minutes.
