- Start with mixing the dry ingredients very well: flour, salt, black pepper, baking powder, garlic powder.
- Add the butter and olive and mix with flour then rub it together with your fingertips to make a light breadcrumb texture.
- Add the milk, creamy cheese, wild thyme and sesame seeds and mix until you get a nice dough.
- Spear the in a circular shape on a baking tray, brush some milk over the top, sprinkle the sesame seeds and add some grated cheddar cheese if you like.
- Put in a preheated oven at 200c for 10min until you get a golden brown top.
- The first time I made it, the taste of zaatar was too strong because I added the thyme leaves as they were, but this time I used just a handful of the leaves and crushed them before adding them to the dough and the taste was just perfect 👌🏻.
