Ingredients make Mega-chocolatey cherry and Amaretto brownies
- Prepare 225 g unsalted butter.
- You need 200 g dark chocolate.
- It's 55 g cocoa powder.
- You need 100 g milk chocolate, chopped into pieces.
- Prepare 450 g caster sugar.
- It's 110 g plain flour.
- You need 4 large eggs.
- Prepare 200 g glacΓ© cherries, halved.
- It's 100 ml Amaretto.

- Turn the oven on to fan 160C/conventional 180C/gas 4 and grease and/or line a 30cm by 20cm tin.
- Cut all of the butter into small cubes and tip into a large pan. Melt over a low heat and stir in the sugar.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the dark chocolate, allowing it to melt fully into the mixture.
- Add the flour, cocoa powder and eggs and mix thoroughly.
- Add the cherries and amaretto. If it takes your fancy, maybe you "accidentally" spill an extra splash of that amaretto into the mixture....
- Add the milk chocolate pieces, stir really well and then pour the mixture into the tin.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes. You'll know they're done by popping a skewer into the centre and it coming out clean.
- Leave to cool fully before cutting into slices.
