KHALIAT NAHAL/ HONEYCOMB BREAD
How to Making Recipes KHALIAT NAHAL/ HONEYCOMB BREAD using 10 ingredients and 4 steps
KHALIAT NAHAL/ HONEYCOMB BREAD - Khaliat al Nahal is a Middle Eastern bread. In the Muslim communities, I believe Khaliat al Nahal is made during the fasting period of Ramadan. Kahliat Nahal (also known as Khaliat al Nahal) translates as Bees' Hive in Arabic taking its name from its appearance. The buns are baked close to each other in a round pan where they form a honeycomb. This honeycomb Arabic dessert vanished pretty fast and I got loads of compliments.

KHALIAT NAHAL/ HONEYCOMB BREAD instructions
- Add the dry ingredients first (flour, yeast, sugar, baking powder, salt, custard powder) and then add your melted butter and warm milk in bits and knead dough for about 10 mins..
- Cover for an hour.
After an hour, cut dough into tiny ball pieces. For every piece open it slightly and place a small cheese cube and roll again to a ball. The cheese cube gives it shape. And arrange them in a baking tray(butter the tray so that they don't stick) all round..
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius for 10 mins
Meanwhile brush some egg wash (1 egg yolk plus 1 teaspoon milk) on the buns to give them a shiny look.
After preheat place the honeycomb in the oven and bake for 20 mins or until they brown well..
- When ready pour on them some syrup. I used home made condensed milk. 2 cups milk + 1 cup sugar stir continuously on medium heat until it thickens to your liking..
KHALIAT NAHAL/ HONEYCOMB BREAD - This Middle Eastern (Arabian) sweet dish is named after its appearance resembling a honeycomb and sweet taste like honey. It is typically filled with cream cheese and then glazed with sweet syrup. Traditionally, sugar syrup is poured over the bread, but I have used honey Khaliat al Nahal (known by many as Khaliat Nahal) simply means Bee's Hive. This is due to the bread's resemblance to a honeycomb and for the sweet, honey-flavored topping it's glazed with. It's a 'softer_than_cotton' type of bread, with some cheese filling in every bun, and a sweet glaze on top. Being a lover of bread myself, I wanted to make it sooner, but somehow the thought slipped away into uncertainty due to various reasons. Khaliat Nahal aka Kahliat al Nahal is a Middle Eastern bread which gets its name due to its bee hive appearance. Thank you and good luck
