- It's Hibiscus flowers-15-20.
- You need Tulsi leaves-20-25.
- You need Rice flour-1cup.
- It's Khoya-1/2cup.
- You need Grated coconut-1tbsp.
- It's Cardamom powder-1 tsp.
- Prepare Salt a pinch.
- You need Ghee -1tsp.
- It's Chopped almonds and pistachios-1tbsp.
- It's Water as required.
- It's Lemon-1/2.
- It's powdered sugar-1tbsp.
Hibiscus and tulsi modak instructions
- Clean hibiscus flowers and remove stem. Put them in a cup of boiling water and set aside. Add few drops of lemon juice and see its colour changing to red..
- Grind tulsi leaves in a grinder with some hot water and make a smooth paste..
- In a bowl take rice flour. Add a pinch of salt and divide it into 2 equal parts. In one part add hibiscus water and make a smooth dough. And in another part add tulsi paste and make a smooth dough. Cover and set aside for 2 minutes..
- In a bowl take khoya,powdered sugar,grated coconut,cardamom powder and nuts and mix everything well. Make a small balls from both of dough. Grease your hand with ghee and Flattened rice balls on your palm and fill with khoya mixture and shaped like modak with hands or with mould. Keep all prepared modak in steamer and steamed for 20-25 minutes. After 25 minutes remove from heat.cool down and serve..
